Celtic and popular instrumental music for weddings, corporate events etc.

Chris is a full-time professional musician. His main instrument is the Celtic Harp. He specialises particularly in traditional Celtic music, but he also has a considerable repertoire of popular song tunes. He also has a set of early/medieval music, and a just a few popular light classical pieces. He can offer a set of exclusively Irish, Scottish, Welsh, OR popular music if required, or a mixture of any combination of these. As well as playing public performances, Chris is also available for weddings, receptions, corporate events and other private bookings. The Celtic harp has a beautiful bright, melodic and resonant sound, and is somewhat smaller than the classical pedal harp. Chris uses a very compact high quality amplifier where needed, so he doesn't take up much space, and can move relatively easily from one room to another within a venue with minimum fuss, for instance from a wedding ceremony room to the reception area or dining room. Chris plays a Camac Ulysse 34 string harp, an excellent modern instrument with an elegant appearance and a beautiful full tone. As well as playing solo, Chris also offers a duo or trio called 'The Gold Ring' , playing Celtic harp & bouzouki with flute player/uilleann piper Ben Walker. Celtic, Irish & other music ranging from beautiful melodic airs to fast exciting reels. Chris has been a professional musician and member of the Musicians Union for 29 years. He has Public Liability Insurance cover, and his P.A. equipment is P.A.T. tested. Available for bookings throughout the UK.

The Gold Ring played as a single harpist and a 4 piece band at our evening reception. They created a fantastic atmosphere with their Celtic tunes. A very talented band.

Before the big day Chris was able to help us with our song choice for each part of the ceremony. It was perfect. Due to Chris being able to offer popular Celtic jigs and a great mix of well known songs the overall day had a real upbeat feel which got everyone in a great mood before the wedding breakfast. We have had numerous compliments from our guests about Chris and how he helped create such a great day.
