MC at sporting, corporate & charity fundraising dinners and other & LIVE sports event commentary

Experience I have been involved as an MC and host at various sporting dinner events, awards presentation evenings, live sport activities and charitable functions for well over 25 years. Formerly in education as a Director of Sport and Physical Education at a large school in the North West of England, I have turned my background of public speaking and management experience into a ‘hobby’ in retirement. Years of meeting & greeting, arranging, hosting and fronting various occasions now allows me to offer and deliver the professionalism and organisational expertise you expect in ensuring your event is a success. From hosting sporting dinners and charity fundraisers to commentating at cross country, swimming and athletics meets, I am available to work at events including but not limited to: • Awards ceremonies • Live sporting events • Charity fundraisers • Conferences • Auctions • Corporate events • Children’s events • Wedding MC and toastmaster I believe that a good MC should keep the event moving, the speakers relaxed, the discussion interesting and the audience involved. Working in the past with ex students who have progressed into professional sport allows me a unique insight into the world of sport. Sporting interviews and Q & A sessions with after dinner speakers often extends to new levels. I aim to relax and engage with organisers, speakers and support crew by putting all parties at ease and keeping guests and speakers on track. This will similarly apply to your function. Where possible, I will include a site visit prior to your event taking place. Sporting fundraiser & charity dinner events Should you require me to provide sporting memorabilia for your charity auctions, this will be possible. Items will come with a reserve and any profits on the night are yours! Similarly, if you require me to source a speaker package which might include myself and a celebrity after dinner speaker from the sporting world, I am more than happy to put something together for you. Costs & fees More than a beginner but well within your budget, my cost is reflective of a number of factors. These might include the necessity for overnight accommodation, travel, the duration of the event and the work you require of me on the day. In retirement, earning a full time living from doing what I am doing is not my priority anymore and my rates, comparatively, are extremely competitive! Given my profession and personal interests, if you are involved with any of the children’s charities or any other form of cancer and hospice care, then please do contact me as reduced rates will apply.
