Having been “born in a trunk” to a showbusiness family & performing all of his life Andrew Van Buren is renowned for his showmanship & is recognised as one of the
most experienced, professional & adaptable variety performers around today, a gold star member of the Inner Magic Circle & a member of the exclusive showbusiness organisation The Grand Order of Water Rats.
He now tours literally all around the world with his principle assistant & partner Allyson Ford who is a trained dancer, appearing in all types of venue, from West End theatre to circus & stadiums, intimate classy cabaret to some of the world’s biggest luxury cruise liners whilst continuing the Van Buren family style of being able to perform literally anywhere - specialising in performing whilst completely surrounded by the audience.
Andrew’s now retired parents, Fred Van Buren & Greta are responsible for inventing, building & performing many unique illusions, all of which are still featured in Andrews shows amongst a constant grand array of new additions.
Andrew has over the years developed his other skills of trick cycling, juggling, escapology & his famously exiting plate spinning – with real plates, he is now acknowledged amongst the dying art as being one of the top plate spinners in the world, also combining them into the illusions it creates a number of unique successful variety show packages, not just a magician, illusionist, but also juggler, plate spinner, trick cyclist, showman & above all entertainer.

Van Burens Magic Around the World - in Blackpool Tower Circus - a mammoth fully themed illusion spectacular with a cast of 24 performers, all illusions, costumes & music themed to a journey around the world – performed with the audience watching from all around & every angle.
Regularly performing in the Middle East - most recently to star in the House of Illusions Spiegeltent dinner cabaret show in Dubai UAE & the Circus of Aladdin in Sharjah UAE.
With a string of repeated performances before British Royalty through to Arabian Sheiks.
Repeated TV appearances including in the UK alone: Blue Peter, The Generation Game, The Ant & Dec Show, DJ Judge Jules Spin Cities, Cilla Black’s Moment of Truth, Noel Edmonds Telly Years, CBBC Best of Friends, The Slammer, The Money Programme to name just a few.
Performances include The Brit Awards, The Commonwealth Games, The Royal Albert Hall, West End theatres & representing Great Britain at World Expo Spain by Royal Command before HRH Prince Charles.
Recent projects with Harry Hill, Paul O Grady, Lulu, Kym Marsh, Fatima Whitbread & comedians Peter Kay & Crissy Rock. Making Jaguar & BMW cars appear out of thin air, also on several occasions involving members of the TV soap Coronation Street in appearances, disappearances & making them float in mid air. Currently advising for TV’s Shooting Stars Angelos Epithemiou Show.
Recently launched is The Van Buren Story Documentary which is out now on DVD.
