Trust & Transparency
We want it to be crystal clear how Eventsense works, what we do, and just as importantly, what we don't do.
Do you take commission from suppliers?
No. Eventsense does not take commission on bookings. Suppliers keep 100% of what they earn. We charge a small fee for leads, not a percentage of your income.
Do you charge booking or service fees to organisers?
No. We don't add any booking fees, service charges or “platform fees” to your enquiry. The price you agree is between you and the supplier.
Do you handle deposits or payments?
No. All payments are made directly between the organiser and the supplier. Eventsense never holds or moves client or supplier funds, and we're not in the middle of your payment flow.
Do you offer buyer protection, insurance or guarantees?
No. We don't badge our service as “buyer protection” or sell add-on guarantees. Contracts, insurance, cancellations and refunds are agreed directly between you and the supplier.
Professional event suppliers typically operate with written agreements, public liability insurance and clear terms. We believe the most reliable protection comes from choosing good suppliers and communicating clearly, not adding another middleman into the chain.
Are suppliers vetted?
Eventsense is a marketplace, not a licensing body. We don't “approve” or “certify” suppliers in a legal sense.
Instead, we make it easy for you to:
- View profiles, photos and descriptions
- Check reviews and ratings where available
- Ask questions and speak directly before booking
We always encourage organisers to do their own due diligence, just as they would with any professional service.
Who is my contract actually with?
Your contract is always between you and the supplier. Eventsense provides the platform and tools to connect you, but we are not a party to your agreement.
What happens if something goes wrong?
As with any direct booking, issues, changes or disputes are handled under the terms you agreed with the supplier. This gives both sides clear legal certainty.
Why doesn't Eventsense operate like other booking platforms?
Eventsense launched in 2012 as an independent, founder-led project to solve a real problem in the events industry - finding good suppliers who are actually available.
Over time, many newer platforms have moved towards a heavier, fee-driven model: controlling payments, adding service fees and sitting in the middle of every transaction.
We've chosen a different path. By staying lean, sustainable and independent, we can focus on what matters:
- Fair pricing for suppliers and organisers
- Direct relationships and real conversations
- Low overheads instead of high commissions
- A more sustainable events ecosystem for everyone
