Marbling Workshop Suminagashi paper marbling is a thousand-year-old Japanese technique. Using various methods, inks are applied to the surface of the water, beginning a process of flow where the shapes of the ink evolve into soft, elegant, decorative forms. At a chosen moment, a print is made by transferring the liquid pattern onto paper or card, capturing a moment in time. This inclusive ancient art form allows people from all walks of life to connect with their creativity, focus, and attention.
