Bugfest is the UK's leading exotic entomology birthday party supplier. We have been providing educational services for fourteen years and have the largest range of invertebrates from all over the world available. We are the only provider of this type to have a fully PGCE qualified teacher at the helm with 46 years of natural history experience.. Bugfest's
owner and creator, Nick, unlike others who have to combine and add up their experience between their team mates to sound better, has a genuine forty six years lifetime of experience in natural history, wildlife, habitats and conservation in both native UK and overseas fauna.
If we were to do what other outfits do in this respect and added all of our team's experience together, we could falsely claim nearly one hundred and fifty years combined experience between us. Sounds good, but it IS deceptive.
Nick has thirty one years of experience working with children, initially as a beaver scout leader in the nineties and more recent decades as a qualified teacher, teacher training lecturer, and Bugfest facilitator all over the UK. He is a member of the Verrall Association of Entomologists and has been nominated for membership of The Royal Entomological Society. He is a trustee and council member of the Amateur Entomologist's Society and Nick is also a member of Equity - the professional performer's actor's union. Nick also works as an executive producer on a children's animated wildlife show and is a published children's nature author.
Whilst we may attend events where animals are provided by others, or indeed have animals at events we run provided by other companies, we ourselves don't use them. We are out every day of the week all year round and don't have time to look after them ourselves, let alone take them everywhere with us.
If however you truly love animals and respect their needs and wellbeing, and you want an experienced presenter, with the ability to manage groups of children from ten to several hundred, thousands even, then look no further.
Nick has performed: live shows on stage to hundreds of thousands at BBC Children in Need events, live performances on stage at BBC Carfest, presented a live outside broadcast for BBC South, performed for Channel Four Super Vet Noel Fitzpatrick at the National Pet Show, is a member of Equity, the actors and performers' union, and despite all this - is so laid back and down to earth.
Covering over one thousand miles a week, every week, Bugfest now appears around the country at Haven Holiday Parks, Parkdean Resorts and Park Leisure. When you book Bugfest, rest assured, you are booking the BEST in the business.
Having qualified teaching experience, public liability insurance and a constant subscription updating DBS, means that your events or parties are in the safest and most experienced hands, and that your children, or indeed pupils, will have the best time possible as well as learn about the animals in a way that is inimitable.
Bugfest is set up and equipped for gigs of any size. We can manage a small party in a front room, or dress and perform on an entire stage! No job is too big, or too small!
Bugfest is priced competitively and can provide you with FREE no obligation quotes.
