Multi-talented entertainer offering disco, Punch and Judy, magic shows, balloon modelling, and circus workshops.
David Reid-Frow was born in Gainsborough in 1963 and educated at Gainsborough Grammar School, New College Cardiff, and The University of Manchester. As an undergraduate, he entertained underprivileged children in Moss Side and represented the University at rugby league, gaining University Colours. His balancing skills, initially honed as a club treasurer, are now showcased in his Laugh & Learn Circus Workshop, where he teaches children. David's early career involved presenting magic shows and Punch & Judy puppet pantomimes at school Christmas parties. During term time, he worked as a door attendant in Manchester nightclubs, a role he easily adapted to with his evening dress, although he later transitioned to performing close-up magic. Today, David is a mix and mingle close-up magician at wedding receptions, responsible for fun and laughter. He is a member of Hull Magicians' Circle and Equity, the actors' and variety artists' union. His appearances include local radio, television shows like "Wish You Were Here..." and "Heartbeat," and performances at holiday centres, shopping precincts, theatres, schools, clubs, and children's birthday parties. David developed the Laugh and Learn programme, using magic as an educational medium. This programme covers a range of topics, including: - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - Forces - Electricity - Road Safety - Dental Hygiene - Safety in the Home - Circus Skills - Puppetry - Magnets and Magic Workshop David chose to become a children's entertainer after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry, finding a playful connection in the shared initials.
