Wesley Karr & The Automobiles are a 4-piece Rockabilly/Swing band. They'll play any kind of music, so long as it's Rockabilly. Not only will they rock your socks off with their unique approach to this genre, but they’ll also regale you with stories of their many encounters with rock 'n' roll legends such as Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley. Wesley Karr’s hot rocking vocals are backed up by the fine guitar playing of Doc Sideways, together with Cort Chester on double bass and Hank Riviera on drums. When you look at the band, you’ll probably wonder how they could possibly have been around in 1955. But as Wes explains, “Well, we actually started our journey in 1959 but during the flight our plane was struck by lightning and I believe we went through some kind of time warp. Looking at some of the funny clothes and hairstyles we've seen around, I reckon we’ve come a long way into the future too. I reckon maybe as far as 1965.” Their performances are a nostalgic journey through the golden era of rock 'n' roll, with a twist of humour and charm.
