Skylight Circus in Education, trading as Skylight Circus Arts, is a contemporary circus company that uses circus creatively for performance and as a vehicle for personal, physical, and social development and wellbeing. Our circus school in Rochdale is a multi-purpose training space and small studio theatre. Since 1989, Skylight has provided social and creative circus activities to the people of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire, and beyond. We work within education, communities, health, and the corporate sector, offering participation and performance in workshops, projects, and training. Our team has extensive experience working with people of all ages, including disengaged young people, older individuals, people with disabilities, and those with additional needs. Our creative output is enhanced by collaborating with a wide range of other art forms such as music, spoken word, and dance. Skylight produces new artistic work through partnerships with various local and national creative organisations, enriching the cultural offerings of Rochdale.
