Singing duo John & Chrissie have been performing together since spring 2002 and launched Timescape in spring 2004, specialising in songs from the 1940s and from stage and screen. They have toured Norfolk and beyond with their blend of old and new favourites to day care centres, residential homes, sheltered housing, fetes, churches, air museums, VE/VJ celebrations, and 40s events, as well as parties and private functions in homes and village halls, with many repeat bookings and recommendations. The average length of their programme is one hour for smaller venues and daytime events with two or three performers. For larger evening and weekend events, dances, and fetes, they can offer a longer programme tailored to your needs. Shows can be performed in British RAF/ENSA or American uniform, or alternatively in civilian attire of the period. "Sentimental Journey" is their most popular show, featuring a selection of favourites from the 1940s and earlier from both sides of the Atlantic, including the songs of Glenn Miller, Vera Lynn, Anne Shelton, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, and many more in a variety of styles. They also offer "Rocking 50s Swinging 60s" and a "Magic of the Musicals" programme, as well as other special seasonal programmes, while John also performs a John Denver tribute. Fees start from £80 plus travel for care homes and day centres, and from £150 for evening and weekend events.
