Face-painting for 24-50 guests age 3 years and over - different packages available. Each face takes only a few minutes to paint, perfect as an extra special add-on to your party. Designs come in an array of colours and I can work to your chosen theme. Glitter tattoos work well for large numbers at events and corporate parties and are speedy to apply. Lots of designs and colours are available and the tattoos can last for around 7 days on the skin before they fade away. I have been working as Funky Faces for the past 20+ years and started out as a professional make-up artist. Have DBS and PLI and I am used to working for large groups of guests. I operate throughout East Bucks and South Bucks and are mindful of the costs involved to families who are planning parties. Therefore as I keep it local I am able to offer a reasonable fee whilst not compromising on quality.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Hiring a face painter.
When booking a face painter, make sure to check their experience, qualifications, reviews, and availability. You may also want to ask about their hygiene and safety procedures, insurance, and where they are DBS registered.
- Check the portfolio of their previous work to show you. They should be able to answer any questions you have.
- Face painting involves using makeup and other materials that come in direct contact with the skin, so it's important to make sure that the artist practices good hygiene and follows appropriate safety procedures. They should use clean brushes and sponges, and should avoid using products that may cause allergic reactions or skin irritation.
- Check reviews and references from previous clients to see if they were satisfied with their work.
- Some face painters may have insurance and contracts in place to protect themselves and their clients. You may want to ask if they have liability insurance and if they provide a contract outlining their services and expectations.
The cost of a face painter can vary depending on several factors, such as the event type, location, experience, and the complexity of the designs they offer. On average, a face painter may charge anywhere from £40 to £100 per hour in the UK.
Some face painters may also charge a flat rate for a certain number of hours or number of faces painted.
It can be tempting to save money and do the face painting yourself or ask a friend to do it. However, we strongly advise that you use a professional face painter that has the appropriate training and experience in creating high-quality, intricate designs that are both creative and safe.
Professional face painters follow strict hygiene and safety guidelines, using clean brushes, sponges, and water for each person to prevent the spread of infections. They also use high-quality, non-toxic and hypoallergenic face paints and avoid using paints too close to the eyes or mouth to minimise the risk of irritation or allergic reactions.
